Sibylle Wiemer, born 1959, has dedicated her life to horses and to the training of riders and lovers of horses. Tolerance, circumspection and patience characterise her lessons.
Sibylle Wiemer holds a degree as Trainer A in Riding (riding teacher’s degree of the German Equestrian Federation FN) and has been teaching since 1986. Since 1992, she has been in charge of a large renowned therapy and dressage stable in Fintel (Rotenburg district, Germany).
Sibylle Wiemer also owns a Trainer C degree in Vaulting and a degree as Trainer B in Horse Schooling. Her work is based in particular on a thorough knowledge of training methods, muscle formation and gymnastics for horses.
Sibylle Wiemer is a Trainer C in Vaulting, and she also completed several training courses in Therapeutic Riding and Riding for Health. The prevention of illnesses, especially tension in the back and other stress-related afflictions, is as much a part of her repertoire as techniques and measures for the rehabilitation of disabled people. Since 2000, Sibylle Wiemer has been forming therapeutic riding instructors in cooperation with the German Disabled Sports Association.
Since 1986, Sibylle Wiemer has completed several further education courses with Eckhart Meyners. The seat of the rider is therefore the second main point of her work. With the help of gymnastics and various exercises, she assists the rider on her/his way to a relaxed, independent and supple seat.
Since 1998, Sibylle Wiemer has been riding with Monsieur Philippe Karl. She is an honorary member of his “School of Légèreté”. Lightness and harmony have since characterised her lessons. A thorough knowledge of the biomechanics of the horse, the psychology of learning and comprehensive experience with a great number of different sequences of exercises further add to her teaching.
